Dog Obedience Tips: Starting Right

So, you have a new puppy. You’re excited and you already in love with the sweet little bundle.  Suddenly you realise, your puppy brings chaos into your home: she is chewing on your shoes, making a mess everywhere she goes and, the worst part, she is lacking good toilet manners. You know, you’re in trouble and you need some dog obedience tips very fast.

Teaching your dog behavior will require lots of patience on your part. This is the most important thing. You must realize that even before introducing a puppy to your house. Then, you have to find out how you are going to train your dog.  You start your house training dog with potty training. Of course you must know how to approach this. A pet shop, your dog’s vet or local library may have a dog training book. You may also find good advice on the internet. If you feel that you are not up to that task, you may hire private dog training professional.

After weeks of training your dog, you and your pet will be ready for the agility training for dogs. As the training does include lots of running, the dog training leash can be put aside during the training itself. You also may gain some personal fitness benefits as well, because dog agility training requires physical involvement of the owner/pet trainer.

You do want your dog to be happy. And for that she needs the exercise that she inherited from her canine ancestors. That is plenty of chase games, lots of jumping over the obstacles and the list go on. This is what the wild dogs would do if they were hungry and needed to hunt for food. Your dog does not need to hunt as you take care of her but she still needs the same commotion as her ancestors used have.

You will be greatly rewarded by teaching your dog “good manners”. Indeed, your dog will become man’s best friend.
